Cross River senatorial aspirant promises impactful representation of Southern Senatorial District

A Cross River South Senatorial aspirant and former member of the State Executive Council, Ntufam Okon Nyong Owuna has promised to provide equitable and effective representation if elected into the upper chamber of the National Assembly.

Owuna who made this remark after his screening by the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Calabar, said he would advocate for accountability of constituency projects through legislation.

He promised to push for the establishment of a federal presence in Akamkpa local council which is endowed with granite and other solid minerals in order to accelerate industrial development of the area. He added that already he has been at the forefront of converting the rich mineral resources of the area into viable products instead of merely exploiting the crude only.

He called on the electorates in a chat with newsmen in his campaign office to support a power shift by electing a senator from the Akamkpa axis because representation since the inception of the 4th republic in 1999 had been by persons from Calabar/Odukpani. He vowed to deliver on his mandate of a virile and prosperous Cross River South that constituents would be proud of in 2023.
