End of global conflict predicted by faith-based group
The Brotherhood of the Cross and Star (BCS) aka Christ Universal School of Practical Christianity has predicted that an end is coming to the disturbing issue of perennial communal clashes and violent conflicts in the universe.
However, Head of the Theocratic Body and King of Kings and Lord of Lords, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu in a press briefing delivered by the BCS Deputy spokesman, His Grace, Archbishop Emmanuel Ekuri on the 2024 Celebration of the Divine Manifestation of the sole spiritual Head of the Universe, Leader O. O. Obu, Founder and Sustainer of Brotherhood of the Cross and Star on Monday 23rd December, 2024, gave conditions for the achievement of peace as well as putting a stop to the persistent loss of lives, by urging farming communities that are always plagued by boundary crises to imbibe the message of love and communal co-existence.
The leader of the Spiritual organisation, Olumba Olumba Obu, who made the declaration during the divine manifestation of the Holy Spirit commemoration held every 30th December of the year, said he foresees a gradual end to the perennial communal clashes and violent engagements that have claimed hundreds of lives in the State over the years.
He said despite the fact Cross River State is blessed with a vast landmass, most farming communities have unfortunately continued to engage in senseless boundary skirmishes on land ownership that always result in the avoidable loss of precious lives and massive destruction of property.
Leader Obu said it is regrettable mankind seems to have forgotten that land as a principal factor in the production value chain had been in existence since creation and it is only the deep knowledge of the scriptures as propagated by the Holy Bible that would save humanity from attachment to intangible desires of the flesh.
The BCS Spiritual Leader appealed to mankind to learn and focus more on matters that promote the spiritual aspect of living as opposed to mundane activities that diminish their spiritual growth and acknowledgment of God as the Supreme being.
He also appealed to the country’s political leaders to learn great lessons concerning the concept of servant leadership if truly they are bent on delivering democratic dividends to the Nigerian populace.
Meanwhile, activities lined up for the annual celebration of the divine manifestation of the Holy Spirit include feeding the multitude, washing the disciples’ feet, embarking on charity and humanitarian works, and the physical symbolic walk of the BCS leader along designated routes within the catchment area of the BCS’ World Headquarters in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.
