#EndSARS: Lagos Panel Awards N83m Compensation to Victims of Police Brutality

The Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry and restitution for SARS related abuses and other matters has awarded a total amount of N83 million in compensation to victims of police brutality.

Among those compensated was the family of late Kolade Johnson, awarded the sum of N10 million.

Nigerians voiced their outrage on social media after Johnson was shot during a raid by police officers at Onipetesi area in Lagos on March 31, 2019.
