Exit of a Patriarch
The remains of late Chief, Engr. Nsa Okon Nsa of King Eyo VII Royal House in Creek Town, Odukpani Local Government Area, Cross River State was laid to rest at his hometown on Saturday 30th October 2021.
The obsequies started on Thursday 28 with a service of songs at Wesley Methodist church and also had him laid in state at his residence where guests were entertained.
In his sermon at the funeral service, Methodist Archbishop of Calabar, His Grace Most Reverend Emmanuel .O. Udofia (JP) said death is the ultimate end of every mortal, hence called for caution in the way we do things as every beginning has an end and we shall be judged by what we did while on earth.
Head of Nsa Okoho Eyo Nsa (King Eyo VII) Royal House Council, His Highness Elder Chief (Prof) Eyo Etim Nyong at the thanksgiving service held at Wesley Methodist church described the departed patriarch as a shining light of the family.
The departed began his carrier at the now moribund ECN (1959-1961) after training at Croydon Technical College and South East polytechnic London. He also worked at General Electric Gasturbine Supersonic Control Centre where he retired as Head of Protection Control and Metering instrumentation and Engineering operation at Delta Power station Ughelli.
Late Sir Chief Engr F.N.O.E Nsa was a member of Rotary Club and special Marshall of the Federal Road Safety Commission as well as head of Efik community in Delta state and Knight of John Wesley (KJN)
