‘Expect political tsunami in 2023’ _ Labour Party chieftain in Cross River
The Deputy Director of Youth Mobilization and Head of Administration of Labour Party in Calabar Municipal Council Area of Cross River State, Comrade Accept, Ayang Okim has predicted that Nigerians should expect a political tsunami in the 2023 general elections.
Comrade Okim in a chat with LENS Reporter on Friday, December 16, 2022, said that while the major political parties are putting their trust in structures, the Labour Party has become a niche among youths who hold the ace in the 2023 general elections hence the need to key into the flow. His view was corroborated by the chapter welfare officer Ms Ego Maxell.
The Labour Party is waxing strong in Cross River State due to the emergence of Rt. Hon. Daniel Asuquo (Dansuki), member representing Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency in the National Assembly as Senatorial Candidate for Cross River South Senatorial District and Hon. Bassey Akiba as Candidate for Calabar Municial/Odukpani Federal Constituency.
Rt. Hon. Dominic Aqua Edem is a candidate for Calabar South/Akpabuyo and Bakassi Federal Constituency among other notable candidates in the 2023 general elections in Cross River State are leveraging on the rising popularity of its presidential candidate and former Governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi who has become a political enigma.
