Faith-Based assembly bankrolls NA’AR Youth Swagger Festival 2025

Zenith Bank, Chamley Branch, Calabar was a beehive of activities as Grace Consolate, the organisers of 2025 NA’AR Youths Swagger Festival gave cheques to winners of the event held at the U.J. Esuene Stadium in Calabar, Cross River State on Monday April 14, 2025.

The programme which started with various activities featured a football competition in a 16 round elimination matches played at the training pitch of the U. J. Esuene Stadium on Sunday April 13th 2025. Adelito FC clinched the first prize money N1,000,000.00, Eastside FC 2nd position rewarded N500,000 and Mojoda FC 3rd position with N300,000 as prize money.

Presenting the cheques to the winners, Chairman of the Central Planning Committee (CPC), Mr. Liyel Imokhuade said the annual youth programme which started from a modest plan has metamorphosed into a mega event with prospect for more like the grand finale which will usher in a music festival slated for Friday 18th April 2025 with artistes like Mercy Chinwo, Frank Edwards, Victor Edet and Ekanem Esu performing at the U. J. Esuene Stadium, Calabar to wind down the week long fiesta.

Among the dignitaries that graced the occasion were the Special Adviser to Governor Bassey Otu, on General Duties, Barr. Ekpeyong Akiba, Mr. Edem Darlington, Deputy Chief Press Secretary to the Governor; Mr. Eric Anderson, Former Commissioner for Information and Legislative Aide to Senate President Godswill Akpabio; Mr. Patrick Ugbe, CEO of Hit 95.9FM Radio Station and Hon. Ekanem Ekpenyong SA to Governor on Sports. They as well-presented trophies and medals to winning teams and players in the football event.

Senior pastor of Grace Consolate, sponsors of the NA’AR Youths Swagger 2025, pastor Lawrence Agbata expressed gratitude to all participants in the event and promised to enlarge the scope in the next event to include female football. The event attracted youths within and outside the State and aimed to recede youth restiveness in the Niger Delta Region, he said”
