FERMA trains indigenes of Southern Senatorial District of Cross River on Solar Energy
Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA) is organizing a 5-day technical training and maintenance of solar street lights and inverters workshop in Calabar.
The activity is in collaboration with NFKZ prime solutions Nig. Ltd., facilitated by Senator Geshom Bassey, representing Cross River South Senatorial District at the National assembly.
The event which was declared open by a representative of Senator Bassey, Hon. Barrister Asuquo Ekpoada, former managing director of Cross River State Water Board Limited attracted participants from the seven Local Government Areas in the catchment area- Biase, Akamkpa, Odukpani, Calabar Municipality, Calabar South, Akpabuyo and Bakassi.
The programme held at Gomays plaza hotels is aimed at equipping trainees with the requisite skills to leverage the benefits of Solar energy in order to mitigate short fall in electricity generation in the Country.
