FGBMFI-Nigeria Calabar chapters to host national convention in Calabar
Calabar chapter of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International, an organization of Christian professionals and lay business men with headquarters in Los Angeles, California USA, is hosting the regional convention of 2024 Abuja National Convention from September 5th – 7th 2024 at the University of Calabar community center, Calabar, Cross River State.
This information was disclosed by the chairman of the Central Planning Community, Prof. Martins Meremikwu on Wednesday, August 7 at the joint prayer and fasting program of the body held at Naks Hotel and Towers, Marian Road, Calabar.
Prof. Meremikwu, a tenured professor of Paediatrics and child Health at college of Medical Sciences, and also Chief Consultant in Clinical Epidemiology at University of Calabar who also doubles as National Director of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International, harped on the need for sacrifice by Christians to optimize their potentials in his exhortation at the Spiritual meeting referencing Colossians 1:16, “For by him were all things created that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominations, or principalities or powers: all things were created by him and for him.” He stressed that we need God’s leading with sacrifice to change narratives for good in the present economic circumstances in the country.
In his contribution, Mr. Dan Oku, a Chartered Accountant and National Treasurer of FGBMFI said the 2024 National Convention will rejuvenate and awaken the consciousness of FGBMFI members to the fact of God’s watchfulness over our lives cum activities. He challenged members to be committed in their ministry of soul winning knowing the certainty of God’s reward in tandem with the 2024 theme “And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be” drawn from Rev. 22:12.
Also, a University lecturer majoring in Environmental Pollution and Toxicology in the University of Calabar, Prof. Udeme Udofia has urged members to pray fervently for success of the 2024 Convention in Calabar zone comprising of Akwa Ibom State chapter.
FGBMFI founded by a wealthy Armenian dairy farmer Demos Shakarian in 1951 is one of the largest Christian Men and Women’s networking organizations in the world with footprint in over 85 countries.
