FGBMFI National Director commiserates prof. Offiong over sisters death

Members of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International-Nigeria have commiserated with Prof. Offiong Ani of the University of Calabar, over the untimely demise of his sister, Madam Ekanem Ani.

A national director of the fellowship Prof. Martin Meremikwu while fielding questions from a LENS reporter on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 in Calabar, urged the Offiong Ani family of Ikot Ishie clan in Calabar Municipal Council Area to take solace in the fact that their sister lived a life of service to humanity.

Late Madam Ekanem Ani aged 58 passed on in August, 2024 after a brief illness in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. Before her demise, she was the Administrative Secretary in the legal department of the multi-national oil exploration firm, Exxon Mobil Unlimited in Eket, Akwa Ibom State.

She was a graduate of the Calabar Polytechnic and University of Calabar who served in the office of Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and Guinea Warm Eradication NGO among others in her career life.

An obsequies called by the Chief mourner for the family Prof. Offiong Ani who is also the Chapter President of Golden Chapter of FGBMFI, Calabar said her remains would be buried at the Eyo Ita axis of Hawkins cemetery in Calabar South Local Government Area after funeral service at Hope Waddell Parish of Presbyterian church Nigeria (PCN) on Friday September 6th 2024.

Late Madam Ekanem is survived by many brothers, sisters and relatives among whom is Prof. Offiong Ani of the University of Calabar.
