Fmr. Cross River governor felicitates governor-elect Bassey Otu

As Cross Riverians continue to relish and savor the sweetness of the victory of Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu, the governor-elect after the March 18, 2023 governorship and State House of Assembly polls, an APC chieftain and former Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency, Chief Clement Ebri, a native of Mkpani in Yakkur Local Government Area has congratulated Senator (Prince) Bassey Otu aka “SWEET PRINCE” for his overwhelming victory at the polls.

Chief Ebri in a radio broadcast on Hit FM.95.9 monitored on Wednesday April 5th 2023 said never has Cross Riverians been so united at the ballot in an election in the political history of the state like they did during the just concluded governorship and state house of assembly polls which produced Senator Prince Bassey Edet Out. He expressed confidence that he would re-unite the state and lead her to a glorious path.

He implored him not to disappoint the people but should use his wealth of experience both at the Federal House of Representatives and the Senate to galvanize the rich human and solid mineral resources as well as agricultural potentials that abound in the state to impact the state in a good way in his administration.

It would be recalled that Senator (Prince) Bassey Otu defeated his main rival Senator (Prof.) Sandy Ojang Onor of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) by winning in fifteen (15) out of the eighteen (18) Local Government Areas in the State from the North, Central and Southern Senatorial districts while senator (Prof.) Sandy Onor won only in three (3) Local Government Areas in the March 18, 2023 governorship and state house of assembly polls.

Chief Ebri however, called on Senator (Prince) Bassey Otu to run an inclusive government to reconcile people from other political camps in order to have a successful tenure as governor of a united and prosperous Cross River State.
