Fmr. SEMA DG hailed, amass supported for mayoral seat of Calabar municipality
The wise political decision of the former Director General of the Cross River State Emergency Management Agency, Apostle Hon. James Anam to resign and contest the office of Executive Chairman of Calabar municipality under the All Progressive Congress – APC has been greeted by array of support from people who laud his excellent performance as DG of SEMA in mitigating disaster incidence in the state.
DG of Team Support Group for the aspirant, Boy Ekong on Thursday October 24,2024 in a chart with newsmen while erecting a billboard to expose his principals campaign in Calabar preparatory for the November 2, 2024 Cross River State Independent Electoral Commission local government election, said that Apostle Hon. James Anam will replicate his signature performance in Calabar municipality as chief executive.
Also speaking at the Atekong Drive Junction by Marian rd. ext., Calabar, venue of the billboard exposure, Pastor Mfon Effiom Umoh, DG Ubok Abasi 2024 campaign organization for Apostle Hon. James Anam for Chairman, Calabar municipality disclosed that members of The Mount Zion Light House Full Gospel church and the entire Christian community in Calabar Municipality have agreed to vote Apostle Hon. James Anam as the next Mayor of Calabar municipality in the November 2, 2024 local council polls. He used the occasion to appeal to all persons who witnessed the installation of the billboard to vote for him to emerge as the next Executive Chairman of Calabar municipal council Area in Cross River State.
It would be recalled that as part of his political tutelage, Apostle Hon. James Anam, son of the late Bishop I. O. Anam of The Mount Zion Light House Full Gospel Church INC had served as councilor in the legislature of Calabar municipal council.
