Governor Ayade Eases Curfew in Calabar

About four hours after imposing a dusk to done curfew as a result of the destruction, looting and arson in Calabar over the weekend, Governor Ben Ayade has directed that the order be relaxed.

The Governor in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Christian Ita, said the decision followed a review of the security situation in the State.

Ayade said effective from Tuesday, October 27, 2020, the curfew imposed in the State will now run between the hours of 4pm and 8am daily and that restriction of movement is now eased within the period.
