Governor Ayade reinstate former political appointees
In an effort to reconcile some aggrieved members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Cross River State, Governor Ben Ayade has directed all former political appointees who resigned to contest in the just concluded party primaries and lost to meet Secretary to State Government (SSG) and Auditor-General for immediate reinstatement and payrolling.
Governor Ayade in a statement signed by his Deputy Chief Press Secretary Mr. Linus Obogo said the affected appointees are to meet with the Auditor General for proper documentation and capturing of concerned officials in the payroll.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) recently inaugurated a reconciliation committee in Cross River State with the objective of reconciling all the aggrieved members to strengthen and unite the party ahead of the 2023 elections.
The State Chairman Barrister Alphonsus Eba while inaugurating the committee on Monday in Calabar announced Pius Tabi- Tawo as the Chairman and Senator Florence Ita- Giwa as alternate Chairman as well as Peter Ojie as secretary among other members saying they were chosen based on their track records in politics.
Responding on behalf of his colleagues Mr. Tabi- Tawo promised to pacify all the aggrieved members and restore their confidence in the party leadership.
