Governor Fubara present 2025 appropriation bill after being denied access to Rivers State House of Assembly
Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara will this morning re-present the 2025 appropriation bill to the Rivers State House of assembly.
The re-presentation of the appropriation bill will be done before the house of assembly led by Martin Amaewhule.
This follows the Supreme Court judgement ordering the seizure of the state allocations pending the budget Presentation.
Earlier on Wednesday, Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara was denied access to the Rivers State House of Assembly quarters, where lawmakers currently hold plenary sessions.
The Governor arrived at the Assembly quarters on Wednesday morning to present the state 2025 budget but was met with a locked gate, preventing his entry.
Fubara had earlier pledged to implement the Supreme Court judgment, which includes the formal presentation of the 2024 budget.
