Governor Otu’s road rehabilitation projects in Cross River commended

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Cross River State Hon. Emmanuel Stephen has praised Governor Bassey Otu’s road rehabilitation projects.

Stephen while fielding questions from newsmen in Calabar on Wednesday 18th October, 2023 described Governor Otu’s vision for the state as outstanding, given his effort within four months in office for rehabilitation of the 1.2km Nyong Edem Street, concrete-pave project in Calabar South, the Edet Ansa Farm Access, Etap Ayip road and the ongoing Lawrence Bassey street from Efio-Ete round-about to Ikot Eyo street in Calabar Municipality.

Others are the 3km Bebuasuan rural access road in Obudu LGA, 3km ketting community road in Obanliku and construction of 39km Ukelle road which is ongoing according to him deserve commendation. He appealed for pot holes to be filled on major streets in Calabar such as the bad portions of road linking Ika-Ika Oqua Market on Ndidem Usang Iso road to Big Qua town.

Verifiable reports have indicated that the state government has awarded contracts for the renovation/equipping of the abandoned Ultra Modern Library Complex, Calabar and the beautification of the Millennium Park recreational garden in Calabar metropolis.

These landmark strides and the governors attitude to governance, especially in the management of men and resources to achieve his “Peoples First” mantra as well as doing everything humanly possible to ensure he leaves the state better than he met it at the end of his tenure is applauded by even his critics, Hon. Stephen stated.
