Ibok-Ette Ibas appoints new LG administrators in Rivers defying court order

The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Rtd. Vice Admiral (Rtd) Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas CFR, has approved the appointments of Administrators for the 23 Local Government Areas of Rivers State.

This action is in defiance of a Federal High Court order by Justice Adam Muhammed delivered about 24 hours ago restraining him from making such appointments in a suit filed by the PILEX Centre for Civic Education Initiative.

Ibas has also approved the reconstitution of some Boards of Agencies, Commissions, and Parastatals, earlier suspended when he assumed office.
