Information commissioner says planned power summit aimed at unlocking economic potentials of Akwa Ibom
Akwa Ibom State commissioner for information and strategy, Comrade Ini Ememobong, has emphasized that the outlook of the planned power summit coming up in the first quarter of this year is what Akwa Ibom people are so happy about.
He made the remark while speaking on a channels television programme saying, “One of the Programme outlooks for 2025 that excites us as Akwa Ibom people and the government of the State is the Planned Power Summit in Akwa Ibom which the Governor Umo Eno-led administration is envisioning to happen within the first quarter.
According to him, “What the Government of Akwa Ibom State is hoping to achieve with that Summit is to harness the outcome of the Summit as a roadmap for achieving our dream of distributing the power we generate in Ibom Power”.
He further explained that all the governor wants is to see improvement in power supply which will positively impact economic activities in the State.
“The well-intentioned desire of the Governor is that the improvement in Power availability will unlock and drive exciting economic possibilities for our State “
