Labour Party official in Cross River exonerate Obi’s visit to Winners Chapel
The recent outrage by some political parties over Labour Party Presidential Candidate’s visit to Living Faith Church aka Winners Chapel in a programme tagged Shiloh in Lagos as undermining the Electoral Act as amended has been condemned by the Public Relations officer of the party in Calabar South L.G.A of Cross River State.
The Labour Party spokesman made the comment while fielding questions from newsmen in Calabar on Sunday, December 11, 2022.
Apostle Kofi Edet Dadzie said since the Nigerian Constitution allows for freedom of worship in a secular environment in which the country operates there is nothing wrong with Peter Obi’s visit to any religious organization as he does not go there to campaign but to worship God.
He queried the rationale behind the outcry where-as candidates of other political parties go to their worship centers without restraining comment from members of the Labour Party and therefore advised opposition parties to mind their business.
