Microsoft says Teams videoconferencing platform is beginning to recover

The US IT giant Microsoft says the functionality of its Teams platform is “beginning to recover.”

Hours before, the company made the announcement it had been hit by an outage that left users unable to access the videoconferencing platform.

The Downdetector website says inaccessibility and other disruptions have been confirmed worldwide, including in the United States, Japan, and Australia.

The platform is widely used as more people work from home due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Microsoft says there are more than 270 million monthly active Teams users across the world.
