Miss Universe Nigeria: Liya to perform as guest artist at Eko Hotel and Suites

A popular Nigerian singer, and songwriter Abdulsalam Suliyat Modasola known by the trade name Liya will perform at the maiden Miss Universe Nigeria holding at Eko Hotel and Suites Sunday.

She came into the music scene with the release of her first single under Davido Music Worldwide, titled “Melo”,shortly after signing a record deal with the label in 2020.

The accompanying music video for “Melo”, was released on 8 December 2020, starring Davido, and directed by Dammy Twitch.

The organisers said that Liya’s coming has not only excited the fun lovers that will grace the occasion but also millions of her fans across the world that will see the live telecast of the pageantry.

Miss Universe Nigeria pageantry happening this evening at the Eko Hotel and Suites is set to host the creme de la creme in the entertainment industry for the maiden edition of the pageantry.

The red carpet of the event, according to the organisers, silverbird group, opens by 6pm when dignitaries will be ushered to the serene atmosphere of beauties and arts.

Earlier, the 37 delegates for the pageantry were camped at the Festival Hotel, Festac town for various rehearsals and performances ahead of the grand finale.

The contestants engaged in such activities as talent hunt, sports and dancing to perfect their roles and fitness.

During the period, various sponsors and partners came in to support the idea, which of course is gradually becoming an institution before its taking-off.

The Osun State Government sent a.delegate to solidarise with the organisers with a promise to be part of the event.

Before the climax of the event when Miss Universe will be crowned, special awards of Miss Photogenic, Miss Amity and Best Traditional Attire among the 37 Contestants will be announced.
