Monarch extols Ayade for World Bank project in her domain
The village head of Ikot Uduak, Etap Uduak community in Kasuk 1 Qua clan in Calabar municipal council area of Cross River state, Her Highness Deaconess (Princess) Efio-awan Asuquo Asibong has commended His Excellency Sen. (Prof.) Ben Ayade, Executive Governor of Cross River state for the construction of remediation works at Ikot Uduak gully erosion site in the area.
The project which is facilitated by Cross River state Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management project (CRSNEWMAP) World Bank assisted project begins from the Assemblies of God church near MCC road.
She made the comment at her palace in an exclusive chart with Lens senior reporter where she expressed gratitude to Lens newspapers which drew the attention of government to the plight of the community already near the tipping point of being submerged by gully erosion.
The monarch however added that the work should as well cover Old parliamentary axis with drainage to help divert the flood to the river to avert a possible reversal.
Princess Asibong leveraged on the opportunity to condole Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth 11, head of the common wealth nations on the death of her husband, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
She prayed God to give her and the royal family of England the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
