Nigeria stands with Ukraine on Russia’s onslaught
Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister Geoffrey Onyeama after a closed-door meeting with Ambassadors of Russia and Ukraine says Nigeria cannot condone the violation of the territorial integrity of a United Nations Member State.
The Minister who yesterday walked away from reporters apparently to avoid questions on Nigeria’s position on the attack, today says Nigeria sympathizes with Ukraine and acknowledges the diplomatic ties it shares with the European country.
The Nigerian government wants Russia to revert to the status quo and prioritise diplomacy and dialogue, he said.
