Nigerian cleric wants truce in Palestine, Israeli face off

A Nigerian Cleric and lead pastor of Gospel House, Home of The Gospel Deliverance Ministry International has called for a cease-fire in the conflict between Hamas and Israel contrary to US, EU and others calling for retaliation which has already left hundreds of inhabitants of Gaza and Israel dead, maimed and homeless.

Pastor James John in a telephone conversation with LENS Reporter Sunday October 8, 2023 in Calabar said that the fight for Jerusalem, a city that echoes eternity for millions of people on earth is not just sand and stone but a sacred place of the world.

And doubling down, he revealed that though Jerusalem is a place where Jews, Muslims and Christians worship side by side but they rarely get to know each other due to the religious dichotomy existing between them yet the prize for the promised land has been fought for centuries over the city that is embodiment of religion, myth and culture.

Pastor James reasoned that the world should pray and push for a cease fire to stop further blood-letting capable of birthing another world war as the conflict has semblance of it.

Meanwhile, the United Nations Security Council has met behind closed-doors to brain-storm on the recent attack on Israel by Hamas Militant group from Palestine last Saturday on multiple fronts leaving hundreds dead and many taken hostage.
