NLC mutes indefinite strike after one week remaining from 21-day ultimatum to FG

The organised labour on Tuesday threatened to begin an indefinite strike should the Federal Government not aceed to its demands at the end of a 21-day ultimatum that would expire in one week’s time, just one week after it led a two-day nationwide warning strike.

The workers union claimed that the planned strike was essential since the federal government had not offered relief for the problems that Nigerians were experiencing because of the fuel subsidy removal.

The Nigeria Labour Congress warned that the possible start of strike action next week would result in an extended halt to all business and economic activity nationwide.
