Obudu LG Chairman ends revenue contracts, disband checkpoints

The Executive Chairman of Obudu Local Government Council, Hon. Peter Akonfe Undiandeye has terminated all existing revenue contracts and agreements with immediate effect to promote transparency and accountability.

In a statement signed by Ikwen Atuaka, Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, the Council Director of Finance and Supplies (DFS) will now oversee revenue collection until a new structure is put in place.

To this end, security agencies have been mandated to enforce the removal of all unauthorized checkpoints throughout the LGA as anyone caught violating the directive will be arrested and prosecuted.

The Chairman has solicited the cooperation and immediate compliance of residents, parents, guardians and community leaders to the directive.
