Osun LP Rally: Vote out APC, PDP Obi tells supporters, promises new Nigeria under LP

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi, has urged Nigerians to vote out major political parties, who have been claiming to have structures.

Obi, who spoke in Osogbo, Osun State, on Saturday at the presidential campaign rally held by his party, also said ethnicity and religious reasons should not be considered by the voters in the next month’s poll.

Addressing the crowd, Peter Obi reiterated his desire to turn around the economic narratives in the country from consumption to production mode towards creating jobs for the youth and also ensuring regular settlement of entitlements of pensioners.

Obi said he believes, with good governance, a new Nigeria that will enhance the unity and security of all citizens is possible.

The LP presidential candidate promised to fight corruption.

Labour party’s vice presidential candidate, Datti Baba Ahmed said the party’s commitment to meeting the yearnings of Nigerians through good governance is the reason it is determined more than ever before to ensure victory for its candidate in the presidential race.

Obi added that he and his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, had been successful businessmen before going into public administration.

The party’s National Chairman, Julius Abure implored the crowd to cast their votes for young minds like Peter Obi whom he said transcends other candidates in terms of the potential required to manage the affairs of a large and complex society like Nigeria
