Otu appoints persons into boards, agencies, others in Cross River

In other to keep the wheel of government running, Senator Bassey Edet Otu the Cross River State Governor has approved the appointments of persons into Boards, Agencies as well as aids.

This was contained in a press release by Emmanuel Ogbeche, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor referenced GO/PRESS/012/VOL. IV/43 dated March 5, 2024 and made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Calabar.

The appointments which cuts across ethnic barriers has Akwa Ibom indigenes resident in Cross River, Igbo’s and other ethnic nationalities in fulfilment of his promise at inauguration to run an all inclusive government in line with his season of sweetness and people first mantra.

Among those appointment are Pastor Dr. Bong Duke, Vice Chairman, State Planning Commission, Hon. Effefiong Nta Eke, immediate past Mayor of Calabar Municipal Council Area as Director General of Cross River State Infrastructure Development Agency, Mazi Okechukwu Maduekwe, Special Adviser Non-Indigenes, Otuekong Sir Francis Edet, member of Obong of Calabar Cabinet Media as Special Adviser Chieftaincy Affairs, Comrade Abasi-Ofiok Akpabio, Special Assistant Student Advocacy, Linus Obogo, former Deputy Press Secretary to Ex-governor Ben Ayade as Special Adviser Media & Publicity and Mr. Gabriel Abegim Adah as Special Adviser Finance & Supply.

The Governor wishes the new appointees well, and charges them to be diligent and bring their wealth of experience to bear in the service of the state.
