Pantami says “digital economy contributes record 18.44% to GDP”

The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy Isa Pantami has said the Digital Economy sector contributed almost nineteen percent to Nigeria’s Gross domestic product in the second quarter of the year 2022.

Professor Pantami said this on Monday at a Press Conference coming a day before Digital Nigeria Day 2022.

At the Press Conference, the Minister also presented a scorecard of his Ministry.

He said under his watch Nigeria has achieved a one hundred and twenty-seven percent deployment of 4G across the country while the implementation of broadband connectivity grew to one hundred and thirty-four percent.
