Party Chieftain Laments Ill-treatment of Cross Riverian by APC Leadership

All Progresives Congress chieftain in Cross River State, Chief Joseph Omini  Ogburuwa has lamented the unfair treatment meted on indigenes of the state by the leadership of the party.

In a chart with Lens reporter Monday in Calabar, the party stalwart, a native of Abi Local Government Area and Senior Litigation Assistant with Mba E Ukweni and Associates Law firm cited the premature retirement of the former Chief Justice of the Federation, Hon. Justice Walter Onoghen.

Others he mentioned were Mrs Winifred Oyo-Ita and the disgraceful removal of the former Special Assistant to the President, Chief Okoi Obono Obla. Also in his list was Chief Akin Ricketts whom he said was untimely replaced in the board of Nigerian Port Authority.

This trend he said has stigmatized the state as incapable of handling public offices and which in his word is inimical to the unity and progress of APC in the state which could impact its chances of making appreciable inroad in 2023 elections.

He called for rethink and making necessary amends to address the abnormally in order to avert untoward consequences in the polity.
