Patriarch calls for creation of Development Centers in Akwa Ibom state
The Spiritual Head of Crystal Cathedral Church Nigeria, Calabar Branch, Apostle Bassey Etim Udofia has called for the creation of Development centers in the thirty-one local government Areas in Akwa Ibom State to fastrack development at the grass root thereby impacting lives in the rural communities.
Apostle Udofia made the comment in a chat with Lens Reporter while fielding questions on how Governor Udom Emmanuel could impact Akwa Ibom people through his massive industrial and infrastructural development in the state.
The cleric who clocked 76 on January 19th 2021 and an indigene of Mbiaya in Uruan LGA in Akwa Ibom urged Governor Udom to emulate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu System of Creating Development Centers in Lagos when he was Governor and which had profound impact on the inhabitants of the state.
He calls for the upgrade of Mbiaya Uruan Health Center to cottage hospital and construction of good road network in Northern Uruan Clans for easy evacuation of sea-food and agric products from the hinterland to markets in Uyo Capital City.
He however blamed successive administrations in Akwa Ibom State for failing to recognize and encourage Akwa Ibom indigenes that have done something extraordinary. He cited the effort of Mr. Macaulay Itebu, an indigene of the state and inventor of a science writing as a case in point.
