PDP stakeholders in Cross River hail presidential campaign rally in Calabar

The U.J. Esuene Stadium, the venue of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council mega rally in Calabar was filled to capacity on Monday February 13 2023.

Speaking to newsmen after the event, the Senior Special Assistant to former vice-president Atiku Abubakar Engr. Eta Uso Jnr. explained that his principal’s address on the occasion has underscored his plan to transform Calabar and convert her agricultural endowment to a business hub by rail linking the Free Trade Zone to Lagos through Port Harcourt. In addition, he promised to dredge the Calabar water channel to berth ocean liners and Cargo vessels.

In his contribution, a PDP chieftain in Cross River State, Mr. Offiong Effanga appreciated the State party exco led by former Governor Senator Liyel Imoke, Senator Gershom Bassey, and others for the success of the campaign. He opined that PDP will win the election from top to bottom notwithstanding the minor setback from the sudden cancellation of the Port Harcourt mega rally for safety reasons.

PDP bigwigs in the PCC train were Senator Dino Melaye, Governor Udom Emmanuel, Dr. Iyorcha Ayu, and others who promised to return Cross River State to the PDP after the 2023 polls.
