Police commission withdraws Naja’atu Muhammad from election duties after Pushback from APC

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has withdrawn the appointment of Naja’atu Muhammad as one of the commissioners to oversee the activities of the police during the general election.

Ikechukwu Ani, the PSC spokesperson, announced the development in a statement on Monday.

Muhammad had been listed as one of the PSC commissioners to oversee the activities of the police in the northwest during the general election.

The commission stated that appointees to oversee the activities of the police during the exercise are required to be unbiased but she had made unsavory comments about Bola Tinubu, the party’s standard bearer.

Naja’atu Muhammad was quoted as saying everything about Tinubu is money and nothing of honour about him. In addition, she had said she heard Tinubu saying SouthWest Nigeria sleeps when he sleeps and wakes up when he is awake.
