Police nap notorious kidnap kingpin in Calabar

The Anti-Cultism and Kidnapping squad of the Nigeria Police, Cross River State command have arrested a notorious gangster cum Kidnapper named Kufre aka “ROMANCE” after a gun battle that lasted for minutes at the borrow pit behind the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) in Calabar South Local Government Area of the State.

The operation was led by the commander of the Anti-Cultism squad Supol Ogini Chukwuma and his men.

The suspect who has been on the police wanted list for years lost many of his men to the superior firepower of the police team.

Kufre has confessed to several kidnappings involving lecturers, medical doctors, wives of Abonima and a journalist as well as killing Dede and papa in 2020.

Sources within the police informed newsmen that the arrest operation was made on Tuesday February 28,2023 after years of trailing him.
