Police Parade 129 suspected cultists, 2nd Niger bridge vandals, others in Anambra

Anambra State Police Command on Monday paraded no fewer than one hundred and twenty-nine suspects for involvement in various crimes including cultism, murder and armed robbery.

The state Commissioner of Police, Aderemi Adeoye, said 34 suspected cultists responsible for a series of attacks in Awka were among those paraded.

Thirty suspects were arrested for alleged involvement in insurgency;

Thirty-nine for armed robbery; Thirty-Eight for cultism, and Twenty-two for kidnapping .

Five suspected vandals of the newly-constructed 2nd Niger Bridge.

Another suspect arrested while vandalising the office of the News Agency of Nigeria in Awka were paraded too.

Twenty-six firearms, Ninety-three ammunition, Twenty-five vehicles, Fourteen tricycles, seven motorcycles, and one roll of armoured cables and iron grill stolen from the 2nd Niger Bridge were recovered by the police.
