Qatar 2022: Super Eagles Departs Abuja on Chartered Flight to Ghana
The Super Eagles of Nigeria departed Abuja on Thursday for Ghana ahead of their Friday’s World Cup qualifiers against the Black Stars of Ghana.
According to the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF the Super Eagles’ contingent flew into Kumasi, the venue of the match, on Thursday morning aboard a chartered flight, and return with the same aircraft immediately after the match.
The Scribe of the Federation Mohammed Sanisu promised that no stone would be left unturned in ensuring that Nigeria picked a ticket for her 7th World Cup appearance.
The match will be played on Friday at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
Meanwhile, hotels in Kumasi are fully booked ahead of the decisive 2022 World Cup qualifiers playoffs the first leg between the West African giants, Ghana, and Nigeria on Friday.
The two arch-rivals who have an extremely close tie will lock horns at the Baba Yara Stadium for the first leg tie on March 25.
And in anticipation of the crunch game which is expected to have a global TV audience stretching into the hundreds of millions, hotels in and around Kumasi are already fully booked by visitors.
Reports say that bookings have been made by fans and several stakeholders all in a bid to watch the titanic clash.
