Senate President commends Kalu for impactful representation of constituency
The Senate President, Senator Ahmed Lawan has praised Senator (Dr.) Orji Uzor Kalu, Chief Whip of the upper legislative chambers in the National Assembly and Representative of Abia North in the Red Chamber for attracting Federal Projects to his constituency in fulfillment of his promises during the 2019 general elections.
Senator Ahmed made the comment at the commissioning of various projects including Item- Igbere Road in Beude Local Government Area of Abia state and others across the senatorial district.
Senator Ahmed who was conferred with the Honoury Chieftaincy Title of “Nwame Di Na Mba” by the traditional council used the occasion to appreciate Senator Kalu for doing what others could not do for 20 years in the Senate in their constituencies and called for his re-election to do more.
Senator Kalu thanked the Senate President for finding time despite his busy schedule to commission the projects and promised to do more if given the opportunity to return to the Senate in 2023 should APC denies the South-East presidential slot as he will only endeavor to contest for the highest office if the zoning arrangement favours him on Friday, April 15, 2023.
Dignitaries at the ceremony included National and State Executives of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and Obol Sulaiman Offiong a governorship aspirant on the platform of the APC in Cross River State.
