Student group barricade Lagos-Ibadan expressway over ASUU strike and fuel scarcity

Students under the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) have blocked the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway by preventing the free flow of vehicles in and out of Lagos to other parts of the country.

The students stationed at the Redeem Camp section of the Expressway were armed with placards of various inscriptions condemning the prolonged ASUU strike and lingering scarcity of petrol.

Led by their leaders in Ogun, Lagos, Oyo, and Ondo States claimed that they are tired of neglect by the government and expressed dissatisfaction with the state of development in the Universities.

They also condemned the scarcity of fuel which has caused hardship for the citizenry as well as students.

They called on the federal government to find a solution to the two major problems which is causing embarrassment to the country.
