SUBEB chair, fmr. Bakassi chair endorses APC chairmanship candidates for Calabar, Bakassi

Executive Chairman of Cross River State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Elder Esu Effiong Esu and former Executive Chairman of Bakassi Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Iyadim Amboni Iyadim have endorsed the chairmanship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the November 2nd 2024 local government election.

Elder Esu and Iyadim while fielding questions from newsmen on Saturday October 26, 2024 after the state monthly environmental sanitation exercise in Calabar said in separate interviews in Calabar and Ikang that both candidates for Calabar Municipality and Bakassi Local Government Area, Apostle (Hon.) James Anam and Mr. Effiong Okon are candidates to beat in the poll to elect new Council Chairmen in Cross River State.

It would be recalled that Apostle (Hon.) James Anam, aka “KOKO ANAM” is the immediate past Director General of Cross River State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) who carved a niche for himself in mitigating disasters in the state. Hence, the possibility of his winning mayoral seat as Executive Chairman of Calabar Municipal Local Government Area is bright because of his pedigree in managing human and materials resources according to Elder Esu.

In the same vein, Chief Iyadim Amboni Iyadim has argued that with Mr. Effiong Okon aka “Effiong- Eyen” antecedent of proven record in administration as former Director General of Cross River State Waterways and having proved his mettle as member of Bakassi Local Government Area administration under his tutelage, there is no doubt that he will emerge as Executive Chairman of Bakassi Local Government Area in the November 2nd 2024 Council Polls.
