The Apostolic Church Nigeria Calabar Field announces death of Pastor Ewa
Pastor Joseph Ewa, Calabar Field Deputy Superintendent of The Apostolic church Nigeria is dead. The information was posted on the church official website.
In a telephone chat with LENS Reporter on Saturday July, 27, 2024, the Field Superintendent of The Apostolic church Nigeria, Akpabuyo Field, Pastor Eta Edet (JP) who spoke through Pastor (Dr.) Etim Duke, JP, Superintendent of The Apostolic church Nigeria, Great Obutong Area described the passing of Pastor Joseph Ewa, as a colossal loss.
Pastor Duke who doubles as National Director of The Apostolic church of Nigeria, Education and Training of TACN Youth Movement said the passing of the humble, simple, preacher, teacher and mighty evangelist on Friday July 19, 2024 after a brief illness as an irreplaceable loss of God’s General and great father in the body of Christ.
Late Pastor Ewa served as Area Superintendent of the Apostolic church Nigeria, Ikot Effanga Mkpa; The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Akim major convention Area; The Apostolic church Nigeria, Calabar Field Headquarters, Edgerly Road, Calabar and recently officiated the thanksgiving service to commemorate the 2024 Democracy Day held at The Apostolic church Nigeria, Edgerly Road, Calabar with the Cross River State Governor, Senator Prince Bassey Otu attending through proxy Rt. Hon, Dr. Peter Odey, Deputy Governor.
Other notable congregants were Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem, State Chief Judge, Honourable Justice Akon Ikpeme, Information Commissioner, Mr. Erasmus Ekpang as well as other members of Cross River State Executive Council.
His service to God took him to The Apostolic church in the republic of Cameroon and upon his return to Nigeria continued his missionary journey as minister of the church in many Assemblies, Districts and Areas before his elevation and appointment to the office of Deputy Field Superintendent of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Calabar Field, Cross River State Territory.
Burial arrangements will be announced by the bereaved family and TACN Council.
