Trump to make ‘big announcement’ Tuesday

The former US President Donald Trump says he will make a big announcement next Tuesday. His remark is widely perceived as a hint that he will announce his intension to run for another term in the 2024 presidential election.

Trump made the comment in a speech on Monday while campaigning in Ohio for Republicans running in the midterm elections.

He also said he would make the announcement from his Florida residence Mar-a-Lago.

Multiple US media outlets have reported that Trump is thinking about announcing his candidacy soon.

Media reports say Trump has endorsed more than 200 midterm-election candidates. The Republican Party is forecast to win more seats this time.

All 435 seats in the House of Representatives and 35 of the Senate’s 100 seats are up for grabs.

Some political analysts say if Republicans do well, Trump may brag that their success is due to his influence and use that to build momentum for a possible run for president.
