Udom Emmanuel applauds conduct of local council election in Akwa Ibom

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel has praised reports of the peaceful conduct of the Local Government Council Election in the state.

The Governor who gave the commendation after casting his vote along with his wife Martha, said AKISiEC, the state electoral body deserve commendation for a well organised exercise. He premised his assessment on the preliminary reports received from across the state which he described as heart warming.

He expressed confidence in the local government system in the country saying it should be supported.

Meanwhile reports from across the state indicate a peaceful exercise though recorded a low turn out of eligible voters.
