UNICAL Chaplain calls for understanding over Covid-19 vaccination

Rev. Dr. joe Ushie, Chaplain of Unical Chapel of Redemption in Calabar has admonished Nigerians to cooperate with the government by taking Covid-19 vaccination, wearing of face masks, washing of hands, and observing social distancing in gatherings to stem the pandemic.

Rev. Dr. Ushie disclosed this in a chat with Lens reporter after the thanksgiving service on Sunday by the student Union Government (SUG) of the University of Calabar which had in attendance the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Florence Banku Obi, and other principal officers of the institution.

Reverencing Hebrews 13:17 “Obey those who rule over you and be submissive for they watch out for your souls as those who must give account, let them do so with you and not with grief`, the preacher harped on obedience to constituted authorities.`

In another development Bro. Zachariah Ali, a Maths/Statistics graduate of the University of Calabar has launched a music masterpiece with the title “God We De hail“ at the St. Paul`s Unical parish of the Catholic Church.

Zachariah Ali alias “ZALI“ who is from Obanliku L.G.A in Cross River State, an Ex-student of Federal Government College Vandiekia, Benue State described the song as his way of appreciating God for HIS benevolence over his life and urged people to always praise God in all circumstance for Him to turn things around saying while prayers changes situations, praises move the hand of God.
