University of Calabar final year students protest inability to scale registration

Pandemonium occurred in the University of Calabar on Monday owing to the protest by final-year students over their inability to register.

The incident disrupted the ongoing examinations in some departments as they were seen chanting solidarity songs while demanding authority to take responsibility and allow them to register so that they can write their examinations.

The protesting students entered some examination halls and shredded papers while chasing out students claiming the school management gave them fake information regarding the registration process and as a result, they are unable to sign-up for the exams portal after paying the stipulated fees and their names are not on the list of those qualified to write exams.

Efforts to get officials of the University to comment on the matter proved abortive as at the time of filing this report.
