VP candidate inaugurates PDP Presidential Campaign Office in Calabar

The vice-presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party – PDP, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has commissioned the Presidential Campaign Office of the party for the 2023 general elections in Calabar the Cross River State capital.

The running mate to the former Vice-President and Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar performed the ceremony on Friday, December 3, 2022, at the former Value Mart Supermarket along Marian road Calabar.

Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa who is also the Governor of Delta State stated that PDP has never lost Presidential Election in Cross River State since the present democratic dispensation in 1999 to date and urged all those who think that PDP will lose in the state to have a re-think and shun Politics of desperation by some misinformed electorates and vote PDP from to bottom in all the elective offices during the 2023 general elections.

He said the ruling Party, APC has brought huge challenges in the country with high levels of disunity, insecurity, and threat to the educational system that our children could not even get jobs because industries are folding up by the day due to wrong government policies and said that PDP is out to secure the nation, regrow the economy and reunite the People which according to him is the template of the PDP Presidential Candidate and Promised that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar will keep faith with it.

Among the dignitaries at the event were the former Cross River Governor Liyel Imoke who donated the Secretariat and Cross River State Chairman of the PDP Presidential Committee Senator Gershom Bassey who said that “People leave the substance and chase the shadow, we‘ll go straight to the substance and then the shadow will disappear “.
