‘We’re ready to hit the ground running ‘_lawmaker

The member representing Oji River State Constituency of Enugu State, Hon. Osita Eze, has said that the newly inaugurated 8th Assembly members were ready to hit the ground running.

Eze said this on Tuesday in Enugu during the reception organised in his honour after the inauguration ceremony of the Assembly.

He noted that the members have all resolved to fulfill their social contract with their constituents by ensuring that there will not be discrimination in the constituencies in project distribution.

According to him, the assembly members have resolved to promote laws that will positively touch the lives of the citizens of the state.

“To this end, we will make sure that town hall meetings are held regularly to update our constituents of the State of affairs in the governance of Enugu State, ” he said.

Eze thanked the Almighty God for making it possible for him to succeed and in the same vein expressed gratitude to the Labour Party in Enugu State for giving him and his colleagues the opportunity to contest on the party’s platform.

“I also thank men, women and youths of Oji River constituency for their commitment to the mandate, I promise not to take them for granted, ” he said.

The reception was attended by “who is who” in Oji River including the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Labour Party, Dr John Okechukwu Nwokeabia, the immediate past Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon Manfred Nzekwe, Chief Sydney Gbugu, Director General of Osita Eze campaign organization and many other dignitaries.
