“Why I want Senator Kalu as president in 2023″_ Obol Offiong

A governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressive Congress in Cross River State for the 2023 elections, Obol Suleiman Offiong has explained why he is campaigning for the former Abia State Governor and Chief whip in the Red Chambers of the National Assembly, Senator (DR.) Orji Uzor Kalu to emerge as Presidential flag bearer of the APC on Tuesday, April 5, 2022.

Offiong hinged his support for Senator Kalu on him being the only detribalized politician in Nigeria with a network of friends in every state of the federation across religious circles. He attested as well to his vast business connections in and outside the country which positions him well for the slot to go to the South-East. In addition, he said Kalu has the requisite qualities as a seasoned politician to address the dwindling economy, restore security and unify the diverse ethnic nationalities in the country.

Offiong who made the remark while fielding questions from a LENS Reporter at No. 1 Diamond Hill Calabar campaign office of Senator Orji Kalu Presidential bid, also called on APC to consider zoning the office of the president in 2023 to South-East in the spirit of equity and fair play.
