Wike host seven BoT members behind closed door

Seven members of the People’s Democratic Party’s Board of Trustees are in a closed-door meeting with Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike at the government house in Port Harcourt.

The meeting is said to be part of efforts to resolve the crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party

Wike’s men and Governors of Enugu, Abia, Benue, and the Oyo States, as well as some top PDP stakeholders in the state, are expected to be at the meeting.

Former Senate President and BoT Chairman, Adolphus Wagbara, Dr. Ibrahim Idris, Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo, Shuaibu Oyedokun, Kabiru Turaki (SAN), Dr. Esther Uduehi, and Zainab Maina are the BoT members in attendance.

Governor Wike and some governors in the South had boycotted the campaign flag-off of the party’s Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

To this effect, it is expected that deliberations at the meeting will be trying to find a common ground to pacify Wike and his men as the 2023 elections near.
