Wike says EU’s report inaccurate reflection of 2023 Polls
Federal Capital Territory minister Nyesom Wike has criticized the European Union Election Observation Mission (EU-EOM) report on the 2023 general election in Nigeria, claiming it was an inaccurate reflection of the election.
He made the remark when he hosted the EU Ambassador to Nigeria, Samuela Isopi who emphasized their commitment to working with the Minister to enhance development in Nigeria.
Wike argued that the report did not accurately represent the true position of the last election, particularly in his state, Rivers. He criticized the EU for not providing an accurate report of Nigeria’s electoral democracy. The EU-EOM, led by Barry Andres had presented its final report in June, highlighting six priority areas with recommendations.
