Wizkid puts Canadian music tour on hold citing COVID concerns

Ayo Balogun, the renowned Nigerian music star popularly known by the trade name Wizkid has deferred the Canadian aspect of his Made in Lagos album world tour.

The Grammy award-winning singer on Wednesday made the announcement on his Twitter handle citing public health restrictions by the Canadian Government as a reason for the postponement.

“Due to existing and public health measures being introduced by the Canadian Government, I will no longer be able to perform my Canadian shows in January. I’m looking forward to returning as soon as possible.”

Reminiscing his landmarks in previous music tours, after a tsunami of electrifying shows in the United States, he proceeded to the United Kingdom warranting the popular O2 Arena to be sold out in minutes.

Based on the earlier schedule, the rest of the tour was meant to have taken place in the Canadian cities of Toronto, Ottawa, British Colombia, and others.
