Wizkid wins Best African Act at 2021 MTV EMAs

Nigerian music star, Wizkid, has the award for the Best African Act in this year’s edition of the MTV Europe Music Awards.

Multiple award-winning beat the likes of Tems, Diamond Platnumz, Amaarae, and Focalistic to win the award, despite the music stars that were nominated in the category.

Since Wizkid added this plaque to his numerous awards, he has been getting congratulatory messages.

Among the messages is the one sent by organisers of the event via their Instagram handle, “HUGE congratulations to BIG WIZ @wizkidayo for winning Best African Act! From Lagos to the world #MTVEMA #StarBoyHQ.” @mtvbaseafrica wrote,

Wizkid also expressed his joy with a repost of a video snippet of his announcement as the winner of the category on his verified Instagram story.
